What Bike and Build is all about...

Bike and Build is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness for the affordable housing crisis through the arrangement of cross-country biking trips. The organization primarily engages college students ages 18-25 on 8 different routes. Specifically, Bike and Build attempts to engage young adults in a life-long commitment to service and philanthropy by providing participants with a very intimate approach to the affordable housing crisis. For more information about the organization, check out their website at www.bikeandbuild.org.

Also, a very big thank you to everyone who donated to the cause. Each rider is required to raise a minimum of $4,000 and my current total is $6,770! Thank you again for your support!

St. Louis bound

During our two day stay in Chadron there was a massive hail storm that
caused massive damage throughout the town. As a way to give back to a
community that helped us out so much when we needed it most we decided
to help clean up/fix homes that were damaged from the storm. The two
pictures above are just two of the twenty-five homeowners we helped
that day.

We also found a cat! Unfortunately, we are not allowed to adopt stray
animals while on the trip. :( It jumped out of the bushes and followed
us around while we cleaned up a yard.

Also, we saw one of the more redneck sites as we went down to st
Louis...carhenge. The name is pretty self explanatory.

Also, a HUGE shoutout to the rest of my family (Matthew, Kathryn,
Stephen, and Collyn) for reading my blog. They all felt excluded when
I forgot to mention them in my previous posts. I hope this cute
picture of the cat will make yall feel better about getting snubbed.
