What Bike and Build is all about...

Bike and Build is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness for the affordable housing crisis through the arrangement of cross-country biking trips. The organization primarily engages college students ages 18-25 on 8 different routes. Specifically, Bike and Build attempts to engage young adults in a life-long commitment to service and philanthropy by providing participants with a very intimate approach to the affordable housing crisis. For more information about the organization, check out their website at www.bikeandbuild.org.

Also, a very big thank you to everyone who donated to the cause. Each rider is required to raise a minimum of $4,000 and my current total is $6,770! Thank you again for your support!

The update all 6 of you have been waiting for!!!

I think the best way to go about this is to tell a few stories and
then let the pictures speak for themselves. Remember I am no Ansel
Adams and my iPhone is not a hi def slr camera so the pictures really
doesn't do the scenery justice.

The first day we climbed togedy (sp?) pass and then rode down into
grand Teton national park. It was amazing and as we approached the
Tetons the views only got better. We road along the snake river into
Jackson where we ended our day.

The second day we climbed Teton pass which was beautiful/difficult/
crazy. We climbed 10 miles at 10% to 12% grades all the way to the top
where dance parties and loud celebration ensued. Top speed going up:
7mph. Top speed going down: 52mph.

Now, enjoy these camera pictures.
